কয়েকজন মা-কে নিয়ে একটা গানের দল তৈরি করা অভিনব আইডিয়া বলতেই হয়। বাংলা গানের জগতে অনেক প্রতিভাময়ী মহিলা শিল্পী দেখেছি, তাঁরা আমাদের স্মৃতিতে আজও অমলিন। মহিলা-পুরুষ মিলে কয়ার গ্রুপও কম নেই । কিন্তু শুধুমাত্র মায়েদের, মানে মেয়েদের নিয়ে একটা গানের দল বোধহয় এই প্রথম । আমি শুনেছি মায়েদের গান । আমার মন-প্রাণ ভরে গিয়েছে । পরিচালক বা মেনটর হিসেবে মায়েরা বেছে নিয়েছেন একজন পুরুষকে – খ্যাতিমান লোকসংগীত শিল্পী তপন রায়কে। আমি অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা জানাই এই দলের মায়েদের এবং আমার প্রিয় ভাই শিল্পী তপনকে ।।

It is definitely a unique idea to form a band with some e mother like women. We have seen some very talented women artist in the world of Bengali songs and they are still glowing in our memories. There are many choir groups of men and women but it may be the first time that a band formed only with women. I heard their songs. I am overwhelmed. Those mother like singers have selected mr tapan roy a famous folk song artist, as their mentor. I wish the best to the band members and my brother artist Tapan roy.
